Tucson Pinball hosts a novice league at Hotrods Old Vail and we’d like for you to join us. Here are the basics:
4th Thursday, March through October. 6-8PM, or 8 rounds. Trophies for top 4 at the end of the season. Drop your 2 lowest events (or miss up to 2 events without affecting your standings).

^^^^^Click on any # along the top of the season standings to see specific info for that event, including dates for future events. You can make an account, and claim yourself to see more stats and be able to follow along at what game you are on during events you are playing in.
Novice? What does that mean? Tournament pinball is a thing, and there are tournaments in Tucson. This league is meant for newer or more casual players to play and enjoy a little competition without the more experienced players joining in. There is a ranking system that uses points from sanctioned events to rank every player that plays in those events. This league is not one of those events, so no world ranking points, so no more experienced players.
Novice, for the instance of this event is anyone ranked 3000+ in the IFPA. If you don’t know what that is, then you are probably in the perfect place. If you have done other events and want to look up your ranking, this is where you can do that: https://www.ifpapinball.com/players/find.php
I will discuss with any player not in the top 3000, but still probably a little too experienced for this league. I don’t expect to have to do this, but it’s possible so having it written down seems worthwhile.
The IFPA/PAPA rules will be used for all Tournament Director (TD) rulings. It’s only a few pages long and I have a printed copy with me at events I run. If you would like to look through them or have any questions I am happy to help.
